Routes are weather-shaped, not map-shaped
A route is only good while the weather that boosts it is active. Because weather is a global state, the correct play is to keep one prepared loop per window and switch loops when the sky changes, rather than walking a fixed circuit all session.
Fire totems between loops, never during one. A totem burned halfway through a route wastes the part of the timer you already paid for.
Rain — the forest-jungle border loop
Rain boosts Tiger ($19/sec), Bear ($13/sec) and Red Panda ($29/sec), and all three sit near the same border strip. Run the tree line where forest meets jungle so the three spawn pools overlap in one loop.
This is the best beginner-accessible event window because Red Panda is only Hard difficulty — the easiest Mythical in the game — and needs nothing more exotic than Rain.
Blizzard — snow ridges down into the caves
Blizzard raises Yeti ($26/sec), Christmas Dragon ($42/sec) and other snow variants. Start high on the ridges and work downhill into the cave network, so that when visibility collapses you are already under cover.
Yeti is worth stockpiling here rather than selling: it is a parent for both Kitsune (with Moon Cat) and Red Panda (with Pegasus). Two Yetis in the pen unlock two Mythical recipes.
Thunderstorm — the volcano and ridge line
Thunderstorm is the Lightning Dragon window ($34/sec) and also lifts Rhino ($24/sec) and Kitsune ($31/sec). Run volcanic paths into the ridge line, where the two densest storm zones connect.
Bring at least a Cosmic Chain. The strike phase snaps weaker ropes mid-catch, which turns an otherwise good route into a string of lost spawns.
Night and Dawn — the two unfakeable windows
Neither Night nor Dawn has a totem, so you cannot manufacture them. Night opens Moon Cat ($22/sec), Leopard ($17/sec) and Kitsune, plus denser Wolf spawns at the forest border. Be standing in the forest clearing or on a river bend before dusk — the first spawn window after dark is the densest.
Dawn is a single-target window: Pegasus on the Sky Ruins platforms, $27/sec, the best-earning Legendary. It closes within about a minute of sunrise, so arrive during late night and wait.
Sandstorm — short desert loops only
Sandstorm boosts Kangaroo ($12/sec) and Zebra variants ($12/sec), but the visibility penalty makes long loops wasteful. Place beacons first, then run short repeated circuits close to them.
Because Zebra is also breedable from Wolf + Bear at 32%, Sandstorm is the lowest-priority window on this list once your breeding pen is working.
Weather-independent filler
When no useful weather is active, farm the three animals with no weather requirement: Rhino ($24/sec, Savannah), Lion ($18/sec, Savannah) and Koala ($16/sec, Forest). Rhino in particular is the highest sustained earner available at any hour, and the Savannah lets you stack Rhino and Lion on one loop.
